Photo & Media Policy

Version 2026-09-17 · effective 17 September 2026. When we photograph events, how your image is used, and how to say no.

1. What this covers

How Offside Indoor Sports LLC ("Offside", "we") takes, uses and removes photos and video from Offside events, and the images teams upload to the site, such as crests and kit photos.

2. Photography at events

Offside events may be photographed and filmed by Offside or by people working for us. This operational photography is how we record results, settle disputes on the day, and keep a record of the event.

Venues display a notice when photography is taking place. If you do not want to appear in general shots, tell the event director at check-in and our photographer will avoid photographing you where they reasonably can.

3. Promotional use of your image

Using a photo or video in which you can be identified to promote Offside, on our website, social media, flyers or sponsor materials, needs your consent.

  • You are asked at registration. The question is optional, and leaving it blank counts as no.
  • Photo consent is separate from marketing consent. Agreeing to one never means agreeing to the other.
  • Crowd and wide shots in which no individual is the subject may be used without individual consent.
  • We do not sell your image, and we do not license it to anyone for their own advertising.

4. Changing your mind

  • Turn Identifiable promotional use on or off at any time from your account → Notifications, or email support@offsideindoorsports.com.
  • Withdrawing stops any new use straight away. We also remove existing images of you from our website and social accounts when you ask.
  • Printed materials already produced, and posts other people have shared, cannot be recalled, but they will not be reprinted or reposted by us.

5. Asking for a photo to be taken down

Anyone who appears in an Offside photo or video, whether or not they registered, can ask for it to be removed from our channels by emailing support@offsideindoorsports.com with a link or description. We reply within 1 business day.

6. Photos and filming by players and spectators

  • You may take photos and video for personal use.
  • Do not film anyone who has asked you not to, and do not photograph in changing areas or restrooms. Doing so is a breach of the Code of Conduct.
  • Venues may have their own filming rules. Where they do, they apply.

7. Images teams upload

  • Captains may upload a team crest, a banner and photos of the team's kits. By uploading, you confirm you have the right to use them.
  • Uploaded images are shown on the team's pages and to players invited to join.
  • Do not upload images of identifiable people who have not agreed to it. We remove images that break this policy or the Code of Conduct.

8. Storage

Photos and uploads are stored with Cloudinary, our media host, and handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes and contact

When this policy changes, the version and effective date above change with it.
